Palace Making the Wright Moves

Crystal Palace today announced their third signing of the closed season, with Swansea City trainee Matthew Wright offered a one-year deal at the club.

Wright, 18, impressed manager Neil Warnock while on trial, scoring the equaliser in Palace’s final reserve match of the season against QPR.

The Swans decided not to offer the player a contract at the end of last season. Warnock has stated that Wright is likely to feature in youth and reserve fixtures next season.

At 6′4″, Wright might one day step into void left by Jamie Scowcroft and Shefki Kuqi’s departure. However, we’ll have to wait a little while to see.

FYP are looking forward to reading how the youngster gets on with the club.
